Seat Adapts to Your Growing Child

The Graco Smart Seat changes as your child grows from infancy to childhood. For infants from 5 to 40 pounds, use the car seat in the rear-facing position. Forward-facing toddlers can use the integrated 5-point harness system from 20 to 65 lbs. For kids weighing 30 to 100 pounds, you can remove the harness and store it in the harness storage compartment, turning the car seat into a belt-positioning booster.

For ease of use, a six-position headrest and no-rethread harness allow you to easily adjust the headrest and harness to your child without rethreading--valuable time-saving features.

Smart Base Offers Easy, One-Time Installation

The convenient Smart Base needs to be installed only once, making the transition from rear- to forward-facing a snap. Correctly install the base (which features a seat belt lock off that makes seat belt installation easier), then simply unlock the seat and move it to use as a forward-facing harness car seat. An easy-to-read level indicator indicates the seat has been installed properly. In addition, locking indicators on the base ensure the car seat is securely attached. The Smart Base is also LATCH-equipped, providing you the option of either LATCH or seat belt installation.

For added convenience, you can buy an additional car seat base (each sold separately) to easily transfer your car seat to any of your family's vehicles.

Steel-Reinforced for Strength and Durability

The Graco Smart Seat All-in-One is not a lightweight car seat. Weighing 33 pounds with the base, it features a tough, steel-reinforced frame and base to ensure safety and durability through years of use.

Comfort Features for Growing Children

The Graco Smart Seat's flip-up armrests make it easy to place and remove your child from the car seat. The Smart Seat also allows for five recline positions so your child can lean back for some relaxation or sit up to enjoy the scenery. An integrated cup holder keeps drinks close at hand.

SafeSeat Engineered with Side Impact Protection

All Graco car seats are Safe Seat engineered and crash tested to meet or exceed stringent U.S. safety standards. In addition, the Smart Seat has been side impact tested for occupant retention by the harness system and with a standard vehicle harness system when in high back booster mode. The Smart Seat also features EPS foam, which absorbs energy for effective impact energy management.
